Members of Kitchener Rotary have been involved in an Online Auction with several other Rotary clubs from within the district since 2015. The auction generally takes place every November from the first Saturday until two Saturdays later. The auction itself has raised over $200,000+ with Kitchener Rotary raising approximately $53,000 for its community charities and organizations. These organizations include such as, Nutrition for Learning school snack program, Anselma House, House of Friendship and KidsAbility, just to name a few.

Presently, there are nine clubs in the district that participate in the auction from the original club, Oakville Trafalgar, to Milton, Mississauga West & Meadowvale, North Burlington, Kitchener, Georgetown, as well as, Oakville and Oakville West.

The items offered vary from handmade quilts to electronics to sports tickets and golf passes. With such a wide range of items offered; the auction gets many return bidders that account for many visits to the website. Last year, we offered approximately 1,300 items overall. The Kitchener club offered an all time high of 224 items for sale with a retail value of approximately $54,000.

Each club shares any central expenses (i.e. auction software, credit card processing charges and marketing) but retain all of the monies collected from the items they place in the auction. The rate of return has been outstanding from 61% to 75% of the retail value on the donated items.
