The Sensory Garden at KidsAbility is in Need of Our Help! - In working to promote Rotary within our community the 5-Club Membership Committee is working with KidsAbility to provide some much needed maintenance on their Sensory Garden. - The committee is working with Metroland (former KW Record) on a media campaign that will help us share/promote the story of our Clubs coming together to support this initiative. Their goal is that by promoting the service work Rotarians do in the community, it will increase the interest in our organization, and eventually membership. - The work on the garden has been divided into three phases: Phase I – general clean up of entire garden – Fall 2021 Phase II – laying landscaping carpet and mulching, possibly some planting (i.e.., Herbs) – Spring 2022 Phase III – updating play structures (some of the wooden structures are starting to show rot and need some TLC) – timing to be determined -- The first phase will happen this Saturday, October 23rd with the 30th of October as the rain date. There will be two shifts: one from 900 a.m. to 12:00 noon and one from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. - Please join us if you can. When you register, be sure to indicate for which shift you are available in the comment box. Friends and family are welcome to join in as well. - Deadline for registering is noon on Friday, October 22.
Thank you, Bryn Jones, 5-Club Memebrship Committee |

Online Auction Sign Distribution - Your Help is Needed! A significant number of people who purchase items on our Online Auction indicate that they learn about the auction through our roadside / lawn signs. And, again this year we need your help to distribute these throughout the region. Our Sign Distribution has two components this year. 1. All members are asked to pick up 2 or 3 signs to put up at their homes and/or place of business. 2. We need an additional 8 to 10 members to take about 10 to 15 signs each and distribute them in a geographical area in the region assigned to you. This will only take about 1.5 to 2 hours and after you have picked up your signs you can set them up any time on the weekend. We will be meeting a the Loading Dock Area behind PS International, Hubert's Office / Warehouse at 975 Bleams Road from 9:00 to 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 23. All members are asked to respond by Thursday, October 21 and indicate in the Comment Box that: 1. You will participate in the full Sign Distribution in the region and pick up the signs on Saturday. OR 2. You will just be able to take 2 or 3 signs for use at your home and/or office and will pick these up on Saturday. OR 3. You would like to have 2 or 3 signs to have at your home and/or office but are unable to pick them up on Saturday and will need to make alternate arrangements to get them. NB! Please be sure to bring and wear your mask! Please remember, we need your help to make the Auction a Success! Your 2021 Online Auction Committee |
